Program Manager at Self-Determination Housing of Pennsylvania

Jessica Lurz serves as a Program Manager for Self-Determination Housing PA in Region 3. She has worked in the human services field for over 15 years, working on complex issues facing persons with disabilities and housing instability. Prior to coming to SDHP, Jessica worked in Northern Virginia as the Director of the Office of Community Services, providing oversight to the homeless services and anti-poverty work for the City of Alexandria. Jessica was seen as a leader within her agency on housing related issues, including policies, affordable housing financing, and supportive services for vulnerable populations. Her interests in housing continue to grow, and she has a passion to develop systemic changes to improve the lives of persons with disabilities.

Jessica has an enthusiasm for using data to inform decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and policies. One of Jessica’s greatest strengths is her ability to stay grounded in facts and use logic to try and solve problems.

Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree from The College of Charleston and her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
