In September of this year, John Scanlon began a new career adventure with Boston Scientific as a 100 percent remote Sr. Fair Market Value (FMV) & Budgets Analyst for the Site Start-up Center of Excellence. In his new role, Scanlon is responsible for ensuring Boston Scientific clinical trial costs are kept within fair market value and also making sure any budget escalations from study sites are processed in a timely manner.

Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Scanlon spent 20 years with Allegheny Health Network Research Institute in Pittsburgh, most recently as the Lead Clinical Trial Contract Analyst helping to get clinical trials up and running for Allegheny Health Network. While working for AHN, Scanlon also volunteered his time to review animal research studies. Scanlon graduated with an MBA degree from Duquesne University and a BS degree in Sociology from Radford University.

In his spare time, Scanlon currently volunteers as a board member for Allegheny Health Services Federal Credit Union and serves as a Session Member for Emsworth United Presbyterian Church. 

Scanlon lives in Pittsburgh, is married, with 3 dachshunds and enjoys music, food, sports, reading, indoor cycling, and travel.
