Matt currently serves as Managing Partner for West Allen Capital, a Pittsburgh based private equity firm.  He is a career finance professional with extensive investment experience across nearly 50 lower middle market transactions totaling over $700 million in transaction value.  Matt is a well-rounded investor with investment experience across the entire capital structure including control equity, minority equity, mezzanine debt, and senior debt.  Matt is truly passionate about investing in lower middle market businesses and helping management teams execute their growth strategies.

Prior to West Allen Capital, Matt was a Partner with Fox Three Partners, a Virginia based private equity firm that acquired lower middle market businesses. Prior to his role with Fox Three Partners, Matt worked at Tecum Capital Partners which is a multi-strategy investment firm focused on making mezzanine debt, minority equity, and majority equity investments in lower middle market companies across a variety of sub-sectors.

 Prior to Tecum, Matt held multiple investment banking positions focused on advisory services for sell-side, buy-side, and recapitalization transactions for middle market firms.  Matt began his career with PNC Bank and completed PNC’s Credit Training Program and worked as a Credit Officer for PNC’s insurance and asset securitization credit group.  Matt currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.
