CEO and Founder at Rabble
Kelly Hiser is Founder and CEO at Rabble, a startup dedicated to empowering libraries to support their creative communities. Working with over a dozen public libraries across North America—including leading institutions in Seattle, Austin, Edmonton, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and beyond—Hiser has developed a transformative model for sharing local music through the MUSICat platform she builds with her team, while growing Rabble from the ground up into a sustainable venture. Hiser regularly speaks and writes about her work, and has recently appeared as a panel moderator at SXSW, a keynote speaker at the Social Good Summit (part of Madison, Wisconsin’s Forward Festival), and a speaker at Pittsburgh’s Abstractions II. She holds a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and stays engaged as a historian and scholar. She was recently honored as one of the Incline’s 2019 Who’s Next class of young professionals making an impact in the Pittsburgh music ecosystem.
