Scott Hershberger

Scott Hershberger is the director of tourism services at VisitPITTSBURGH, the official tourism promotion agency for Allegheny County. As part of his job, Scott promotes the city to both convention and leisure travelers, addresses their needs and oversees the operation of the organization’s welcome centers. He also regularly constructs itinerary ideas for inquiring guests and encourages his team of employees to deliver the best possible customer service to everyone with whom they interact.   

Originally from Franklin County in South Central Pennsylvania, Scott graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Journalism and a minor in Psychology. He previously worked as a television news reporter, public relations specialist and his hometown’s director of economic development before moving to Pittsburgh to accept his “dream job” in March of 2016.
