Martha Watson

Martha Watson has over 25 years of experience in health insurance and consulting. Currently employed by Highmark, Inc., she manages the relationship and performance for several of their largest clinical vendors. She is passionate about improving the customer experience while controlling health care costs without sacrificing quality and access to care.

Martha is very involved in increasing awareness and understanding about eating disorders, participating in legislative advocacy, fund raising for research and program support with the Eating Disorders Coalition and the National Eating Disorders Association. She volunteers at Highmark’s Caring Place, providing support to grieving children, adolescents, and their families. She is also on the advisory board for CasualRecovery’s Young Superheroes program to help children facing medical issues.

In her free time, Martha enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, walking, nature, and travel. Martha holds a BA in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Michigan. A native Michigander, she moved to the fabulous city of Pittsburgh in 2016 where she and her husband, Glenn, live in Shadyside.
