Melissa Krause is Vice President of Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions, LLC.  Melissa leads the PHSL team’s day-to-day operations.  Since 2004, Melissa has worked in a variety of focus areas at PHSL, including drug compendia and classification, as well as health IT initiatives for life science, pharma, and technology companies, which impact pharmacy management systems and electronic health records.  Melissa also has experience with clinical compendia, claims data analysis, pharmacist and consumer market research, Medicare Part D operations and risk management, patient-focused education opportunities, and pharmacy school and professional association relations.  Melissa previously worked in retail and clinical pharmacy, pharmacy administration, and professional associations.  

Melissa completed her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Duquesne University, with a Pharmacy Management concentration.  Melissa is also an APPE preceptor and Field Instructor for Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.

Melissa is involved in various boards and professional organizations, including Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) Educational Foundation Board, Allegheny County Pharmacists Association, Lambda Kappa Sigma, National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and the North Hills Toastmasters Club chapter of Toastmasters International.  Melissa was honored by Duquesne University School of Pharmacy with the Recent Graduate Alumnus Award, and by PPA with the George H. Searight Community Service Award and the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award.  She has presented at various industry conferences including Pharmacy Benefits Management Institute, PPA, and the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy.
