Maria Polinsky

 Maria Polinsky has more than twenty years’ experience in the nonprofit sector. She currently serves as Director of Marketing and Communications for Literacy Pittsburgh, an organization that provides adult literacy programs including GED test preparation, English language learning and workplace skills development. Maria is responsible for connecting stakeholders with the agency and engaging the general public through a variety of traditional, digital and grassroots techniques.  In 2018, Maria oversaw the launch of a new name, website and brand, and spearheaded new communications and marketing channels. Maria served as Director of Development for Literacy Pittsburgh from 2005 to 2018. Maria holds a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a freelance graphic designer and editor.
