As Assistant Vice President and Head of Private Foundation Solutions within PNC Private Bank Hawthorn, Robert Trinkle counsels families and individuals who choose private family foundations to exercise their purpose-driven goals. By utilizing the sophisticated services of PNC Private Bank Hawthorn’s Philanthropy & Impact team, Robert helps private foundations both execute on their desired impact and ease the weight of everyday administrative tasks. PNC Private Foundation Solutions takes the burden of administration off the family or individual in order to enjoy their philanthropy.

Prior to rejoining PNC Private Bank, Robert was responsible for the administration of grant distributions for the PNC Charitable Trusts that fell under the oversight of The PNC Charitable Trust Grant Review Committee. During his time with the Charitable Trust Committee, Robert approved and distributed over 600+ grant awards totaling over $8.5MM+. Prior to PNC, Robert was responsible for commercial and planning administration for a renewable energy company headquartered in New York City. He was responsible for coordinating with local landowners, politicians, regulatory officials, company officers and Board of Directors for company events and groundbreaking ceremonies.

Robert earned a BS degree in Corporate Communications from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Robert is involved in the Pittsburgh community in a number of ways, to include serving as a member of The Pittsburgh/Greater Allegheny LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, Junior Advisory Member of the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh and a Young Professionals Board Member of HEARTH an organization dedicated to providing housing and services to victims of domestic violence. He is a part of local chapters in the Pittsburgh area such as Pittsburgh Young Professionals and Young Professionals in Energy and is also a member of The Pennsylvania Society.

Robert has lived in Pittsburgh’s scenic Mount Washington neighborhood since 2013 with his two rescue dogs, Kohl and Buggle.
